New Arrangement for Open Enrolment for Remaining Places of Training Courses and Recreation Activities

28 Feb 2025Issued at HKT 17:30

Given the large number of training courses and recreation activities, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department had conducted, on a trial basis, open enrolment for the remaining places of all recreation and sports (R&S) programmes enrolled by balloting and the Progressive Swimming Scheme on two separate days in June and July 2024.  The trial had achieved satisfactory results, effectively reducing the public’s waiting time during open enrolment.  In view of this, starting from March 2025, open enrolment for the remaining places of the more popular programmes, including aerobic dance, fitness (multi-gym), the Briefing on Proper Ways to Use Fitness Equipment and the Progressive Swimming Scheme, will be conducted on the same day, while that of other types of training courses and recreation activities will be arranged for another day, so as to better divert the enrolments for the remaining places and reduce the public’s waiting time on the days of open enrolment.  Such arrangement is made with reference to the past monthly statistics of R&S programmes.
